Living Life with No Regrets

Back in 2021, during a coaching session, my coach led me through a powerful reflection exercise. She asked me to imagine the day of my funeral (creepy, I know!) and consider what I would want my loved ones to say about me.

That moment hit me hard.

I realized I had never really asked myself how I wanted to contribute to the world—or how I truly wanted to live this one, precious life. That exercise sparked a deep dive into my values, what matters most to me, and the qualities I carry that can serve both myself and others on this journey.

Along the way, I came across a quote that still resonates deeply:

"In the end, we only regret the chances we didn't take."
– Lewis Carroll

Whenever I feel doubt, uncertainty, or fear of change creeping in, I come back to this truth:

Life is short — and its beauty lies in experiencing it fully.

Some of the biggest decisions I’ve made were incredibly tough.  Like moving to a new country at 24, leaving everything familiar behind. Or walking away from a 21-year successful corporate career to take a leap into entrepreneurship. None of it was easy. But deep down, I knew this: I would regret not trying far more than any outcome of trying and failing.

So instead of staying stuck in “What if this doesn’t work?”, I started asking different questions:

  • What becomes possible when I step out of my comfort zone?

  • What would I do if I had no fear?

  • What legacy do I want to leave behind?

  • Ten years from now, what will I be proud of?

Overthinking, playing out worst-case scenarios, or obsessing over every pro and con can leave us paralyzed. But that quiet inner voice—your intuition? It often already knows the answer.

Trust it. Follow it.

Keep shining,
Laura
